Barber shop shoot

I went to a barber shop to investigate further about hair care, and what is done to keep it healthy.

This image shows the bristles on a brush. The depth of field enable the bristles in the foreground to be in focus, where as the bristles in the background aren't. The contrast of the light wood and the dark shelf capture your attention. The composition of the photo is that the brush is centred, but positioned in a diagonal fashion.

This image shows the environment of a barber shop.

This image shows the detail of the different types of hair, and makes you think how unique each person is, and how they are stereotyped because of how their hair looks.
It also shows that hair is messy and can get out of control if you don't look after it.

This image shows all the utensils needed in a barber shop.
The photograph is taken with a reflection in a mirror. It is up close, so you can clearly see the details of what is used.

I took this photograph to show how the person getting their hair cut may feel about their hair. It shows how people may feel about getting their hair done.

This photo is one of my favourites, as the scissors are being held in the foreground, whilst the background is blurred out. It shows what goes on in a barber shop.

This image is really detailed, as the comb is in focus with a shallow depth of field. The comb goes across the image, and is the main thing that catches your attention, and that your eye is drawn to.
